COURSE SUMMARY
Have you already learned be basics of digital photography, but still want to grow and challenge yourself? Join professional photographer Meghan Ralston in a fun and educational workshop which will teach you to the advanced aspects of flash operation and introduce you the basics of studio lighting. Be sure to charge your camera and flash batteries as we’ll be shooting plenty of pictures and having lots of fun throughout the day.
All attendees will receive:

COURSE DETAILS
This hands-on workshop was created to provide you with an advanced understanding of using and flash and studio lighting. Over the course of the day we’ll cover five crucial topics, including:
STEP #1. OFF CAMERA FLASH
We’re going to help you get that flash off the camera body! Learn how to create new and different photos just by changing where the light is coming from.
STEP #2. USING MULTIPLE FLASHES
You’ll learn how to use more than one flash with or without natural light. We’ll show you how to integrate more artificial light sources without sacrificing your photograph’s lighting.
STEP #3. MODIFYING AND MOLDING ARTIFICIAL LIGHT
You’ll learn how to use all the fancy lighting gear you see in a professional photo studio. We show you umbrellas, bouncers, soft boxes, diffusers, domes, and more so that you can control the light in all of your photographs.
STEP #4. UNDERSTANDING FLASH VS STUDIO LIGHTING
We’ll show you the difference between flashes and studio lights, and explain what you use each for. We’ll also play around with the lights to let you experience the difference for yourself.
STEP #5. BASIC STUDIO LIGHTING
You’ll learn the basics of studio lighting and how to use it to your advantage. We’ll show you shooting techniques for both small and large studio spaces to make the most of your lighting gear.
